EduGamers for Europe

Edugamers for Europe is our first international course for educators, psychologists, teachers and trainers to use video games as an educational tool to implement innovative interventions in their work with young people, minors and families. The course is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Program of the European Union and organized in cooperation by Crescere Insieme Società Cooperativa Sociale (Italy) and Kogemuskeskus NGO (Estonia).

Training course structure

The online course consists of 23 video lessons of about 20 minutes each, divided between 4 modules and will last one month.
There will be 2 live moments with the project coordinators, at the beginning and at the end of the course.

1 - The concept of the video games:
Typologies of video games
Video game taxonomies
Video game evolution
Video game and context: rules, flexibility and translation of rules
Sociology of the video game: narrativity and emerging meaning for the player
Sociology of the video game: the interaction between socio-cultural context, personal context and player behaviour.

Recipients

The theoretical lessons are aimed at those who are interested in learning more about video games as a place and an educational tool.
Qualification as a psychologist and educator (or attendance of relevant degree courses) and several years of gaming experience are preferential qualifications. In case of applications above the available places, qualifications and declared gaming experience will represent a preference for participation.

How to enroll

In order to participate in the training course, it will be necessary to fill in and send your data by filling in the form below. A few days before the start of the course, trainees will receive instructions on how to access the training content.

Articulation of the training program

The theoretical lectures will be held online and will begin on November 11.
Each lecture will have accompanying slides and subtitles in the required language.
The lectures will be in English.
The lectures can be listened to over the course of a month, at the end of which there will be a final exam.
During this period, teachers will be available for any questions or clarifications.
At the beginning and end of the course there will be two live moments with the coordinators, whose function will be to introduce the course and gather suggestions and advice.
